chemical peel treatment
Light chemical peels are ideal for people who want the benefits of a facial peel but don’t want to spend the time required to recover from a deeper peel. They are the most superficial of all chemical peels and have very few complications. These peels work on the epidermal/top layer of the skin causing reddening and peeling that lasts 3 to 7 days. On day 1 and 2 skin is slightly red. Skin starts peeling around day 3 and this continues for 2-3 days. There may be very superficial peeling on the day.
Chemical peels have been around for a long time for good reason—they work. See how a pro peel could heal your skin woes, from acne scars and uneven skin tone to melasma and fine lines and wrinkles.
Chemical peels work by exfoliating the skin’s surface to reduce the appearance of blemishes, smooth skin texture, improve radiance, and restore skin health. These effective treatments can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, arms, or legs. They are most effective at enhancing cell turnover and improving the appearance on the surface of the skin.
During your treatment, Cora will apply one or more layers of a Cliniccare chemical peel solution onto skin for a specified amount of time. This is dependent on the type of chemical peel used, the concentration of the solution, skin type, and skin’s reactivity to the treatment. While some peels are self-neutralising, most formulas need to be neutralised with a buffering solution or water upon completion of the treatment. The goal is to create a controlled, safe injury to the skin, thereby prompting skin to naturally repair itself and reveal newer, brighter skin.
It is important that chemical peels are performed by a licensed skincare professional with access to high-performing peel solutions that are clinically proven to deliver results.
